About
I am a final-year Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Software student at the University of Technology Sydney, with a strong focus on Mathematics. My interest in engineering stems from a natural curiosity to understand how things work and a strong passion for problem-solving.
I am motivated by creating reliable, data-driven applications and improving developer experiences through containerisation. I am currently seeking a junior software engineering role where I can apply my practical experience in scalable backend architecture.
Skills: Python · Java · C++ · C · C# · JavaScript · TypeScript · Docker · Data-driven applications
Recent Work
Internship: I recently completed a 12-week software engineering internship at Honeywell Software Centre in Sydney.
During my internship I developed a C# backend service to migrate a cloud-hosted dashboard platform to a fully on-premises solution for secure building management systems. The project involved interfacing with existing WCF APIs, deciphering frontend JSON payload requirements, and building efficient data aggregation pipelines.
To handle increasing data loads and improve response times, I optimised the architecture by transitioning from on-the-fly processing to PostgreSQL using Marten for database-side filtering. This experience solidified my practical understanding of scalable architecture, separation of concerns, and strongly typed data processing.
Projects
A quick snapshot of what each project currently focuses on.
- JellyPy: Jellyfin automation plugin in C#/.NET with Sonarr and Radarr sync, ntfy.sh notifications, and event-driven scripting.
- AquaBle: Python Home Assistant custom component for Chihiros BLE devices with HACS workflows, dosing management, and lighting controls.
